Quilling: Bits of Paper

Quilling is the art of turning rolled strips of coloured paper into beautiful designs. It’s deceptively simple, but the end result is worth all the time and effort you put in.
Things you need: a quilling tool, good quality glue, strips of coloured paper (all craft stores have these ready-made in various styles and widths), a design in your mind, and lots of motivation!

Hand-made


Today I’ve decided to be vain (well, more so than usual), and show-off my prowess with paper and ribbon and glitter and glue. You see, I’m an amateur craftsman, though not an artist since imagination (and therefore originality) isn’t really my strong point. Here are some greeting cards I made this year:

Peacock feather and golden ribbon on matching blue card stock.

Put in bits of hand-made papers, sequins, some ribbon and a butterfly-shaped rubber stamp, and come out with this.
